ABOUT
Growing up in family Chinese restaurants in Sweden shaped my understanding of making as a community practice. Food and hospitality are central to my work, and I understand transformation through material processes: gathering people and materials, preparing and serving as rituals, and the importance of unseen domestic labour.
This was reflected in my work in textiles and fashion, where a focus on repurposing textile waste and the energy of collaborative making creates opportunities for communities to gather, co-learn and collectively create. I use my work as an opportunity to platform under-represented communities and community practices.
Since 2009, I have worked across cultural institutions, grassroots organisations and community spaces in London, building platforms and spaces for East and Southeast Asian communities.
I am always open to new collaborations, commissions, ideas and opportunities. Get in touch, I'd love to hear from you.
