Spread across two floors, it featured a huge range of activities including a luncheon club, a community bake sale, mahjong sessions, a live erhu performance by musician Chan Da Can and sound scapes and music soundtracks curated by Rowan Allen. Sue Man and Kim Chin curated a sustainable ESEA artist and makers market, along with creative workshops that included marbling with Liva Donina, Chinese calligraphy with John Chan, and henna with Huma Mehwish. A film programme curated by Rosanna Lee was hosted in a dedicated screening room and Michelle Moroney in charge of the community bake sale.
The event raised £4760 for ESEA community groups, and succeeded in highlighting the community resources and support that CCCC provides. Thanks to the huge team of staff, cooks and volunteers from CCCC and ESEA Sisters for making the event run so smoothly, along with the bakers, makers, raffle donors, musicians, filmmakers and DJs who were so generous with their time.
